Samantha Jones’ engaging and enthusiastic personality has led to her covering a variety
of topics in her career so far.

She recently had the honour of being granted exclusive backstage access and conducting
the only interview of the night with new rock band Gentlemen of Distorted Sound at the
concert to mark the launch of their debut album. Twenty questions later and the band claimed
it had been the most fun interview they had ever experienced.

This relaxed but intense interview technique was again put to good use when Samantha
hosted The Making of "Ghostlands”, a behind the scenes documentary about the MJTV
production staring former ‘Dr. Who’ Sylvester McCoy and soap stars Joanna Phillips-Lane,
Judith Jacob
and Julie Mullins. She was also awarded a small cameo in the production as
‘Third Prostitute’, a role she feels was pivotal! ‘Ghostlands’ is due for release early next year.

On a different theme, she is currently working with Geobeats, a company based in the
United States, presenting a series of travelogues for the internet and soon also with the
newly launched LSQtv which provides reports and celebrity interviews from the film
premiers in London’s Leicester Square.

Both of these subjects; travel and movies, are favourite interests of Sammy’s and her
passion and enthusiasm is evident on screen.

Samantha also has to her credit an extensive amount of corporate video presentations
for such diverse companies as the Post Office, Vaux Breweries, Essex Police and
the Learning Disabilities Foundation and has been a regular presenter and voice-over
artist
at the London International Film School working on projects by future film-makers.

Keen to conquer the world (or at least get a bit of a sun-tan), Samantha spent six months
in the Caribbean on board the MS Caribe where she acted as MC for the nightly variety
shows. Not content with showcasing her presenting skills to this worldwide audience,
she was also a featured vocalist performing with the all-singing, all-dancing production
group ‘Six-In-Time’.

Before embarking the ship (and on a career in presenting), Samantha spent several, successful
years in the theatre industry as a dancer, actress and singer. She initially studied dance and
drama at Laine Theatre Arts in Surrey where she was introduced to all aspects of the industry
including behind the scenes. She then went on to hone her presenting talent, progressing to
specialist training at Thames Valley University in London and Meridian Studios in Newbury.

Samantha Jones’ performing career has seen her visit the West End, No 1 touring venues and prime
time television
. Some notable productions include:

'Clive James’ Review of the Year and Alexi Sayle‘s Merry-Go-Round (both BBC), Ken Dodd
at the Palladium
and The Bill (both for Thames), The Leading Man with Jon Bon Jovi, and
the ground breaking prison drama series BadGirls (Shed). Jim Davidson’s ‘Sinderella’
(Cambridge Theatre, London and touring), Music video ’She’s All On My Mind’ for Wet Wet Wet,
numerous commercials including Campari, Vernons Pools and Persil.

Currently living in North London, in her spare time Samantha enjoys researching and writing,
having provided film reviews for several publications and is currently working on treatments for
two self-penned projects. She is also an accomplished photographer and has a great love of travel,
fitness, film & tv, music, theatre and big fat cream cakes. With chocolate icing.
